Congratulations to the students at Incarnate Word Academy in Parma Heights, who raised $2,000 for Special Olympics.
Earlier in the fall, the students were presented with a $500 check from the credit union and encouraged to use their talents and creativity given by God to help double that for a cause close to their hearts.
They not only met their goal but surpassed it by holding a basketball tournament where t-shirts and concession items were sold.
Congratulations to all of the students who made this possible and a special thank you to the staff at IWA for encouraging their students to exceed their goal!
