During the entire month of October, which is “Respect Life Month”, OC Federal Credit Union provided support to Womankind by having a Baby Bottle Drive at each of our four branches. Members and employees were invited to support the drive by taking a baby bottle home to fill with spare change and return it by the end of October. Despite this unprecedented year, with the COVID 19 pandemic and coin shortage, we were able to raise $1,350.00, surpassing last year’s total by $175, to help provide support and resources to expectant mothers in need.
Since 1975, Womankind has provided free prenatal care and a full range of support services to pregnant women and families in medical, financial, and emotional need. Their services include pregnancy testing, prenatal care for 28 weeks in their clinic, counseling, child birth classes, and assistance with baby items donated to them by the community. All of their services are confidential, compassionate, and provided with the emotional support of a woman’s needs for her pregnancy.
